Senior Accountant D2C (Subject Matter Expert Direct-to-Consumer)

Our client is a leading company specializing in Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) sales. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality products directly to their customers, ensuring exceptional service and value. We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Accountant who is a Subject Matter Expert in Direct-to-Consumer processes.

Location: Kraków (once a month in the office for the first 3 months, then 100% remote)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and record transactions from our online store, including payments, returns, and claims, ensuring compliance with online sales tax regulations.
  • Oversee costs related to warehousing, packaging, and shipping to maintain profitability.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales data to identify trends, optimize margins, and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to maintain optimal inventory levels, preventing both overstock and stockouts.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and accounting regulations, including international sales if applicable.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including those in North America and Canada.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in D2C Accounts Receivable Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end D2C process (E-Commerce & Retail) from an accounting perspective.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software SAP and MS Excel.
  • Excellent ability to build business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential.
