Project description and capabilities:
- The end customer is one of the leading companies in the field of accounting SaaS solutions
- The client has built its own technology stack to have a scalable, column-oriented database solution for the backend of their service that runs on AWS
- The client's project is to migrate their column-oriented database software cloud from Intel to ARM architecture
- The current position is to join the virtualization team where the virtual layer is built from scratch for ARM
- Main skills include experience in C ANSI, as well as driver development with Linux Kernel

Profile:
- ANSI C programming experience
- Linux Kernel and experience with drivers
- Experience in multi-core/multi-threaded programming
- Linux/POSIX
- Technical documentation writing skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have
- Experience in building/optimizing software for ARM processors
- Experience with HyperVisor virtualization software
- Assembler language (x86_64 or aarch64)

Additional Information:
Experience in Linux Kernel development is mandatory. It can take various forms:
- Contributing to the actual development of Linux Kernel in any way,
- Creating and supporting custom Linux distributions for their projects/clients, developing custom *nix-based operating systems, participating in the development of device drivers for Linux (this could be developing a driver for some specific/new device from scratch, or supporting some existing drivers, or actual new features, or just fixing bugs)
- Other types of software:
- custom file systems or file system managers, custom memory management tools, custom process schedulers, custom network protocols

Candidates may also have experience developing virtualization tools: co-developing any open source virtualization tools (such as KVM or QEMU), working for any virtualization project or cloud provider (VMWare, Azure, AWS, etc.).”
