Lead Firmware Developer

Your new role


  • Creating specifications, architecture, designing, and documenting embedded software for IoT devices.
  • Implementing, testing, and troubleshooting embedded software on microcontrollers (PIC24, STM32 families – C language).
  • Developing validation test plans to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborating on the development and implementation of production testing concepts for designed products (in terms of firmware).
  • Providing support and maintenance for deployed products (adding support for new devices, fixing identified bugs).
  • Initiating and leading project reviews and technical discussions.
  • Collaborating with the team, mentoring, delegating tasks, supervising the quality and timeliness of their execution.
  • Close cooperation with the Lead Hardware Engineer on the technology roadmap and product development strategy.
  • Collaborating with the Software team responsible for creating cloud applications for IoT solutions.
  • Cooperating with the deployment and maintenance department in terms of technical support from the software side.

What you'll need to succeed


  • Minimum 4 years of experience in developing embedded software.
  • Knowledge of embedded software debugging techniques.
  • Ability to use basic laboratory equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supply, etc.).
  • Practical knowledge of the most popular communication interfaces and protocols (UART/RS-232/RS-485, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Modbus, preferably M-Bus, wM-Bus).
  • Practical ability to handle wireless communication modules (mainly LTE).
  • Proficiency in English sufficient for reading/writing technical documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems, e.g., Git, SVN.
  • Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics, ability to read schematics.
  • Ability to make technical decisions and independently develop expert competencies in the field of firmware.
  • Openness to discussions about solution architecture and their long-term development.
  • Creative and analytical thinking, independence, and a desire for continuous development through training, workshops, and seminars.
  • Good organization of work, communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
