Your new role:
Use the agreed implementation approaches to code, test, and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the given standards and tools.
Select appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, and ensure they are applied effectively.
Implement solutions according to the systems designs of others to ensure the selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology.
Apply Composable Architecture principles and guide others to do so.
Implement the solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered with mitigation of security threats as a core feature.
Use a variety of prototyping methods and choose the most appropriate.
Identify, locate, and fix faults.
Offer recommendations on the best tools and methods to use.
Manage service components to ensure they meet business needs and performance targets.
What you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
3+ years experience as a software engineer.
Basic experience with Composable Architecture principals, especially on an API first strategy.
Basic experience in working in an agile team using Scrum or Kanban.
Good experience in the programming language Python and/or JavaScript (Node.js) and Unix shell scripting using bash and/or zsh, former experience in other languages is a plus.
Good experience in software version control using Git, good knowledge of collaboration in software development via Github.
Good experience with developing RESTful APIs, especially with focus on deployment as AWS Lambda functions and via AWS API Gateway.
Basic experience in API specification & documentation with focus on OpenAPI and Swagger
Good knowledge in using different database and integration technologies for software development with special focus on AWS DynamoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL and AWS Glue.
Good knowledge in using and operating a test-driven development using s framework like PyTest and API Test methodologies.
Basic experience with building orchestration workflows using AWS step functions and Apache Airflow.
Basic experience in developing streaming integration solutions, especially with focus on Kafka and AWS Kinesis.
