For one of our Clients, an international transportation company, we are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel.

Your key responsibilities:

• Overall development, implementation, improvement and management of the European compliance program, including code of conduct and relevant policies and procedures;
• Develop training materials and provide training on a variety of compliance topics;
• Counselling on topics such as conflict of interest, third party compliance, anticorruption;
• Day-to-day management of Alert Line and whistleblower cases;
• Day-to-day management of online and face-to-face training, tracking training completion;
• As part of the program management, remain abreast of laws, regulations, best practices and trends related to compliance programs and government enforcement actions related to compliance generally (consulting the subject matter experts in the Legal team as appropriate);
• Be the linking pin between the European Legal compliance team and the Corporate Integrity and Compliance team in HQ;
• Conduct and manage periodical compliance risk assessments.

What you'll need to succeed

• Significant (7+ years) experience in a similar compliance role
• Legal Master’s Degree
• In-depth knowledge and significant experience in a broad range of compliance topics
• Knowledge and experience with multinational corporate compliance programs, including experience working with international locations and handling international compliance-related issues
• Fluent in English-must have
• Proficiency in German, Dutch, Italian and/or French would be an asset
• Excellent organizational, communications, project management and human relations skills
