Project Description
The Apptio Mallard Team is looking for a Software Engineer to help us build the innovative Cloudability MSP product. The right candidate will be a solid Java developer with strong SQL knowledge, preferably familiar with frontend development. We're developing a scalable, preformant, cloud-native FinOps solution running on AWS using a microservices' architecture (backend and frontend). We own the entire lifecycle of the product, from requirements clarification, through design and implementation, to production deployment and support. As part of the team, you will be building important features in a SaaS environment to help our customers manage and optimise their cloud spend.
Job Description
In this role, you will own significant portions of our team codebase and participate in setting strategic direction for the project. Your main duties will include designing and implementing new features, optimising and maintaining existing code, and ensuring that the software meets high-quality standards through testing and debugging. You will also work closely with other developers, designers, and product managers to ensure that the software meets our users’ needs and modern non-functional requirements.
You will also be asked to be on on-call shifts from time to time as per the team's schedule.
Additional information
On-call: we will require contractors to participate in this on-call. On the other hand, the on-call session itself is very employee-friendly. On weekdays: from 6 to 9 p.m., on weekends and holidays: from 2 to 9 p.m. If there is any work during the on-call - of course, we pay the standard hourly rate.
