For our client, a globally operating manufacturing company in a phase of intensive growth, we are seeking a Finance Director.

The Finance Director will play a key strategic leadership role in driving the continued long-term growth of the business and will be responsible for developing a best-in-class finance function to support the domestic and international growth.
The successful candidate will combine rigorous financial stewardship credentials with first-rate business partnering skills and business acumen. The Financial Director will ensure that excellent finance processes and systems are in place to support business performance and continued organic and acquisition led growth.

Scope of responsibilities:

  • Leading the finance department, ensuring it meets the needs of the business strategy.
  • Collaborating with the Managing Director and building strong relationships across the company, providing appropriate support.
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly management reports by the team of financial controllers.
  • Implementing a top-tier budgeting and forecasting process, with a focus on financial monitoring to achieve set targets.
  • Actively participating in cost analysis and control.
  • Driving operational improvements across the company.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial and statutory reporting and maintaining a tight internal control environment.
  • Managing the balance sheet, ensuring appropriate levels of working capital and fully appraising capital investments.
  • Playing a key role in M&A activities, including identification, acquisition, and integration.
  • Developing and maintaining the finance team, emphasizing rigorous financial discipline and a culture of business partnership.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven managerial effectiveness.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Experience working in an international matrix reporting environment (desirable).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Ability to explain and present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry with the ability to comment on and direct variances would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Fluent in English.
