Background

For a new entrant in the market, a shipping company building a new center in Poland, we established a recruitment team to support not only recruitment processes but also brand awareness among IT and accountancy resources.

Challenge

The biggest challenge was to hire a large number of IT experts during the COVID-19 pandemic and with limited salary brackets.

Solution

Together with the client, we started working on building their employer branding in the market by setting up a microsite and creating a campaign on LinkedIn. Moreover, based on constant monitoring of the market, we established an attractive benefits package and started discussions on aligning salary levels to make the offer more competitive. We also decided to be more transparent about the financial stability of the company during all interviews and talks with potential candidates.

Result 

Together with the client, we evaluated the recruitment plan to adjust timelines to these uncertain times and to be as cost-effective as possible. At the same time, we added additional resources to the team to ensure that all positions would be filled on time.

KPIs Improvements:

  • Offer acceptance ratio increased from 50% to 75% within 6 months
  • Number of filled vacancies per month increased from 10 to 17 within 4 months
  • Average time to offer reduced to 37 working days versus 41 in the last quarter
