Background 

For our client, a major worldwide developer and manufacturer of air conditioning units, Hays provided a fully remote onsite model, including project implementation from the ground up, carrying out every stage of the recruitment process remotely. Fully automated work without the need to be present at the client’s headquarters even once.

Challenges 

The recruitment projects were lengthy, multi-stage, and included practical tests. Project management had to start from scratch with a client inexperienced with external recruiters, requiring full implementation of procedures and standards. There was a market skills shortage, particularly for specialized engineering roles, making it difficult to acquire candidates with unique competencies. Additionally, the offer acceptance rate was low at 50%.

Solution 

The process was improved by clearly defining requirements at each recruitment stage, arranging regular update meetings with hiring managers, participating in internal HR meetings, ensuring adherence to timelines, and taking necessary actions. Master trackers were established to gather and report recruitment data. As a market advisor, bottlenecks were identified, solutions proposed, and consensus sought. A sourcing strategy was developed, utilizing various channels, including cooperation with local Czech universities and a LinkedIn marketing campaign. Cooperation with the client was fully online using Hays ATS.

Result 

The implementation was successful, confirmed by positive client feedback. The offer acceptance ratio increased from 50% to 78%, with a 100% acceptance rate over the last two months. The time to offer ratio decreased from 51 days to 11 days
